Shameia
Gardin was born and raised in North Carolina and at 24 years old, she
is a thriving WOMAN OF GOD. She grew up in church under the pastorate
of her father, Dr. Osco E. Gardin, Jr., and started singing at the age
of 2 1/2. A musician in his own right, Dr. Gardin taught Shameia her
very first song, "Jesus Loves Me". As her father continued
to develop her gift, she began leading songs in the church’s youth
choir. Anointed with power at a young age, people would often mistake
her voice for someone much more mature. Shameia would sing songs like
“The Battle is the Lords”, with much conviction.
In her early teens, she ventured out to perform with local groups, such
as Greg Hoover & the Charlotte Community Singers and later on would
sing with Patrick Love. These groups were very instrumental in helping
Shameia further develop her talent. As a Music Business vocal major
in college, she has even excelled in classical singing (opera), uncovering
a new gift, a new range, and much versatility! Over the years, she has
graced the stage with renowned greats such as Twinkie Clark, singing
on her live recording; Pastor John Kee, Tonex, and Kim Burrell, who
she performed with on stage in 2005. She has also been a background
singer for Lejuene Thompson.
Shameia has had personal struggles in childhood, adolescence, and college!
However, through them all, God continues pulling her closer to Him.
He is consistently breaking, molding, and shaping her. God has given
this young woman an undeniable gift. More importantly, God has anointed
her. She will tell you that her level of anointing has cost some heartache
and pain but her response is “It was all for "God’s
glory!”
Shameia has taken on the responsibility of being an example to a nation
of people who are desperately seeking God. Nations are waiting to hear
from "God’s chosen and anointed!” This is her time!
This is her season! Her debut album, New Kingdom, Maintaining a Standard,
is an album like none other and will be released nationally in the spring
of 2008. This project compels listeners to seek God’s face and
turn from their wicked ways. It challenges all to raise a standard and
maintain it. If you don’t stand for Him and with Him you WILL
fall for "EVERYTHING" BENEATH HIS WILL!
